Mountain View, Calif. - Google this week added a new feature to its Google Book Search tool that allows users to create and search their own personal book inventories.

The My Library feature will allow users to organize, annotate and search full texts of books they select.

"For example, a student could build a collection out of all his sources for an upcoming term paper, and then use Google Book Search to quickly find which book and page contains a needed reference," the company said.

Users also will be able to rate and review their books, then share their lists with others by sending them a link.
