New York - Viacom's MTV Networks announced on Friday that it is developing two dozen new targeted websites for its various TV and other properties, as part of its "360-degree development process across all platforms," and will count more than 300 by the end of the year.

"Our strategy is to keep moving beyond our core branded sites to invite fans to go as deep as they'd like with our content, and the interests they're most passionate about," said MTVN chairman and CEO Judy McGrath.

Included in the mix will be a new site for Comedy Central's "The Daily Show," which will feature a video archive of all past episodes, and post new full episodes for streaming shortly after they are broadcast.

Also launching will be a site for Comedy Central's "The Sarah Silverman Show," Logo's "Alien Boot Camp" and Nickelodeon's "iCarly," as well as more international sites for MTV, and destinations like VH1EyeCandy.com and WikiCheats.com, a video games site.

The company recently announced a two-year, $500 million investment in its games business.

"We're taking an open approach with our content on the Web, allowing our consumers to share, embed, influence and interact with everything they see on-air and online," said Mika Salmi, president of global digital media for MTVN.
