Montreal - Vantrix, a provider of mobile multimedia adaptation and delivery technology, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $12 million in its second round of funding, led by JK&B Capital.

Previous backers Summerhill Venture Partners, Entrepia Ventures, BDC Venture Capital and Innovacom also participated in the round, proceeds from which will be used to expand global operations and invest in infrastructure and research and development.

Montreal-based Vantrix's technology is used by content providers and mobile operators to deliver mobile TV and video-on-demand, as well as messaging, advertising and live audio streaming.
