New Winamp Player Release Streams Media to Game Consoles

Dulles, Va. - The developers of pioneering software media player Winamp on Thursday announced the beta release of the 10th anniversary edition of the application, which includes new features that allow remote access to media collections via the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game consoles. The free Winamp 5.5 actually allows for streaming from a PC to any Web-connected device. Other features include a new user interface with album art support, recommendations and a tool that automatically playlists playable songs from any Web page.
