Los Angeles - The Collective, a movie production company ("The Nanny Diaries," "Are We Done Yet?") and talent management firm (Forest Whitaker, Eddie Izzard, Emile Hirsch), has acquired horror movie website Bloody-Disgusting.com, Variety reported.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Collective said it will add social networking features and streaming full-length movies from both professionals and amateurs to the site, acquiring and licensing existing horror content.

Bloody-Disgusting.com was founded in 2004, and currently attracts around 1 million unique monthly visitors.

CEO Tom Owen and editor-in-chief Brad Misa will continue to operate the site, which provides horror genre news, interviews, trailers and other content.

Variety reports that The Collective will feature exclusive content from the Toronto Film Festival's Midnight Madness program on the site.
