Video Network and Search Provider PureVideo Lands $2.85 Million

El Segundo, Calif. - PureVideo, a provider of user-generated and professional video distribution services, has raised $2.85 million of a $5.85 million second round of funding, according to a regulatory filing, PEHub.com reported.

Previous backer SoftBank Capital was the only listed investor.

Founded in 2005, El Segundo, Calif.-based PureVideo has developed a Web video search destination, PureVideo.com, and operates a network of websites, including StupidVideos.com, GrindTV.com and HollywoodUpClose.com.

The company says its network of sites stream a combined 50 million videos each month to over 13 million unique visitors.
