Mobile Blogging Developer RPM Communications Lands $4 Million

Maynard, Mass. - RPM Communications, the developer of a mobile blogging service called Utterz, announced on Monday that it has raised $4 million in its first round of venture capital financing, led by Morgenthaler Ventures.

TD Fund and other individual investors also participated in the round, the proceeds from which will go towards product development, marketing and customer acquisition activities.

Founded in 2006, Maynard, Mass.-based RPM's Utterz service lets mobile users blog in real-time with voice, text, images and video.

The company also offers a service called Foonz, which allows mobile users to make free conference calls.
