Hong Kong - Authorities in Taiwan last week raided the operations of peer-to-peer website Hip2p.com on suspicion of offering pirated content -- the second such raid of its kind of a week in Taiwan -- Variety reported.
Taiwan's Bureau of Investigation, Ministry of Justice (MJIB) told Variety that the actions, which also included a raid on Kupeer.com, were facilitated by recent changes strengthening Taiwan's copyright laws.
The changes made it illegal to induce others to commit copyright infringement.
