Dulles, Va. - A day after announcing plans to relocate its headquarters to New York, AOL on Tuesday announced the launch of BlueString, a free site that lets users upload, manage and share digital media such as photos, videos and music.

The site provides users with up to 5GB of online storage, and will soon allow them to link directly to video clips and photos from a number of AOL's partner sites without having to upload or move them.

Another feature also lets users collaborate with others to create rich multimedia shows.

"For the first time, we're making it possible for people to access, combine and share all of their personal media from a single application for free," said Kevin Conroy, an executive vice president at AOL.
