San Francisco - Keibi Technologies, a provider of moderation and classification services for managing user-generated content, on Wednesday announced its official launch and said it has raised over $5 million in funding from Catamount Ventures and Hunt Ventures.

Founded in late 2006, San Francisco-based Keibi's service allows social networks and other providers of user-generated content to monitor content for appropriateness.

The company announced Piczo, a photo-centered social network for teens, as its first customer.

"Keibi helps the growing number of companies that leverage user generated content -- social networks, content publishers, and advertisers -- to protect their members and advertising brands and ultimately improve the monetization of this fast-growing medium," said Keibi CEO Paul Remer.
