Toronto - QuickPlay Media, a provider of content management and service delivery technologies for mobile TV and video services, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $15 million in its third round of funding, led by Ventures West.

General Catalyst, J.L. Albright Venture Partners and Up Capital Ltd. also participated in the round, which will be used for global expansion and further product development.

Toronto-based QuickPlay's OpenVideo platform powers mobile video services for 10 wireless carriers in Canada and the U.S., providing live and on-demand content from over 120 media companies.
