3D Avatar Software Firm Donnerwood Media Lands $5.4 Million

San Francisco - Donnerwood Media, an online entertainment company whose products include 3D avatar-building software, has raised $5.4 million in its third round of venture capital financing, from Battery Ventures and Transcosmos, PEHub.com reported, citing a regulatory filing.

San Francisco-based Donnerwood recently launched the beta version of Meez, its consumer software for creating 3D online avatars.

The company also publishes the online casual game "Tringo," which was created within the virtual world "Second Life."

That's a lot of money

They should be able to make some cool avatars now. I have been using different 3d avatar software, but maybe I should switch to Donnerwood.
