Sex Pistols to Play Hollywood’s RoxyAuthored by Scott Goldberg on September 28, 2007 - 6:08am.
The Sex Pistols will play a private club show at the Roxy in West Hollywood on October 25th, the first Los Angeles show for the group. The appearance will honor the 30th anniversary of the band’s lone album, Never Mind the Bollocks…Here’s the Sex Pistols. Radio station Indie 103.1, where Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones hosts a daily program called Jonesy’s Jukebox, is putting the show together, along with Helio and RedOctane, creator of the game Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, which will feature a new recording of God Save the Queen.
The band’s original members – Jones, John Lydon, Paul Cook, and Glen Matlock – will also play London’s Brixton Academy on November 8, 9, and 10, as well as a November 17 date at the MEN Arena in Manchester.
Singles Anarchy in the UK, God Save the Queen, Pretty Vacant, and Holidays in the Sun will be re-released on vinyl throughout October to honor the anniversary. |
