San Francisco - Mashery, a San Francisco-based provider of services and software designed to help clients build "mashup" Web services, said on Thursday that it has raised an undisclosed amount of funding in a new round led by Formative Ventures.

The Accelerator Group, First Round Capital and several angel investors also participated.

Mashery said that it will use the proceeds to increase its sales and marketing activities, as well as to continue product and technology.

In addition to the funding, the company announced several significant new customer wins, including FreeWebs, ZoomInfo, JamBase and Thumbplay, and now has a total of 16 clients.
