Facebook to Enable Friend Grouping, Profile Access Restrictions

Palo Alto, Calif. - Online social network Facebook plans to allow users to more selectively choose who may view their profile photos and other personal content, according to published reports. A note on the "What's New on Facebook" page on the site said the company is working on letting users "organize that long list of friends into groups so you can decide more specifically who sees what." The new feature will likely be welcomed by Facebook members, many of whom are college students or recent graduates, who wish to control which parts of their profiles prospective employers can see, for instance.
