American Fork, Utah - Move Networks, a developer of video streaming technology, has raised $34 million in a new round of venture capital financing, led by Disney's Steamboat Ventures and Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, PEHub.com reported.

Utah-based Move Networks says its technology uses "simulcoding" to prepare video for on-demand or live distribution, which then "upshifts" or "downshifts" to match bandwidth restraints without pausing or buffering.

Among customers for Move's technology are ABC.com's high-definition streaming service, ESPN 360 and Discovery Communications.

The company previously raised $11.3 million in December 2006.
