San Francisco - Justin.tv, a live video blog site created by "lifecaster" Justin Kan, announced on Wednesday the launch of a free live video blogging service.

The company has also raised an undisclosed sum of funding from Alsop Louie Partners.

Launched in October 2006, San Francisco-based Justin.tv features a 24-7 live webcam video feed of founder Justin Kan's life, as well as the feeds of others using the technology.

The new service, which uses On2 Technologies' VP6T for the Flash video player, provides personalized video channel pages, event scheduling, embedding of live video into other sites, community and chat features, and archiving of all live video.
