Video Content Security Firm Verimatrix Raises $5 Million

San Diego - Verimatrix, a provider of content security software for pay-TV networks, announced on Thursday that it has raised $5 million in new venture capital financing, from existing investors including Mission Ventures.

San Diego-based Verimatrix provides video security software for IPTV and other pay-TV networks.

The company claims 80 global deployments for its products, and recently passed 3 million set-top box licenses sold.
