New York - Satellite radio firms Sirius and XM announced on Thursday that both companies will hold special shareholder meetings on Tuesday, Nov. 13 to vote on their proposed multi-billion dollar merger.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Justice Department and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) are still conducting their respective antitrust reviews of the deal.

Sirius CEO Mel Karmazin told Bloomberg on Thursday that the Justice Dept. is now seeking more details on the proposed merger.

"They continue to ask for information," Karmazin told Bloomberg, while adding, "We still think the timetable will be in the fourth quarter."
