San Francisco - Sugar Inc., a women-focused online media network whose sites include PopSugar and ShopStyle, announced on Tuesday that is has acquired fashion blog network Coutorture Media.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Coutorture Media is an online fashion community that includes over 230 websites and blogs.

Co-founder Phil Leif will become a senior engineer at Sugar, while Coutorture founder and editor-in-chief Julie Fredrickson will continue in her role.

San Francisco-based Sugar Inc., which was founded in April 2006 and counts NBC Universal and Sequoia Capital among its backers, now receives over 5 million monthly unique visitors to its network of sites.
