Palo Alto, Calif. - Vuze, a media distribution application offered by file-sharing firm Azureus, announced on Tuesday that it has now reached an installed base of 10 million and opened its publishing platform to networks, studios and other content creators. The company said its Vuze Open Entertainment Platform will allow content producers to offer their video, audio and gaming content for free; for free with advertising support; or at the price they choose. Vuze already distributes content from the BBC, PBS, Showtime, Starz and A&E.
