Blog-Sharing Tool Provider Madkast Lands $300,000

Boulder, Colo. - Madkast, a provider of blog-sharing tools, has raised $300,000 in its first round of venture capital, the company said on its blog.

Investors included EONBusiness Venture Capital and individual investors Brad Feld, David Cohen, Jared Polis, Paul Berberian, David Brown and Marc Silverman.

Launched in March, Colorado-based Madkast offers a widget that lets blog readers e-mail, text message or Instant Message blog posts, as well as submit them to social bookmarking sites.

The company will use the investment to hire developers to improve its widget, build an advanced widget distribution platform, and initiate enterprise-level custom widget installations.
