Buzz Watch: Deal or No Deal Most Popular TV Show Online

Televised game shows and live competitions with interactive elements have a particular appeal online. The NBC show "Deal or No Deal" managed to capture the most traffic to television show web sites during the important premiere week at the end of September, followed by ABC's "Dancing With The Stars."

In an analysis emailed to the TV blog NewTeeVee, the online research firm Hitwise notes that six of the top 10 visited web sites were for scripted shows. However, the top two TV shows online were non-scripted: "Deal Or No Deal" managed to capture 15 percent of the traffic, followed by "Dancing with the Stars" at 11 percent.



Looking at overall traffic for network websites, NBC.com and ABC.com are far ahead of the other networks' websites, with 37 percent and 30 percent, respectively, in the week ending Sept. 29.
