Basking Ridge, N.J. - Longtime digital holdouts Led Zeppelin's catalog will be made available in digital format for the first time on Nov. 13, coinciding with the release of "Mothership," a two-CD greatest hits collection.
Both albums and a la carte song downloads will be available from all online music retailers from launch.
Verizon Wireless will initially have an exclusive on distribution of the group's ringtones, ringback tones, wallpapers and full-song, over-the-air downloads to mobile phones.
On Nov. 20, the band will also release a newly remixed and remastered version of the soundtrack from the concert film "The Song Remains The Same," which will include six songs not on the original release.

a few articles are stateing this is due to maddonnas new deal--which isn`t that fantastic considering if you crunch the #`s 120.million for 3 cd releases plus tours other promotions etc. the break down will be about 37 millon per cd etc- david letterman makes around 60 million for around 8 hours a week every week--sitting in a chair laugphing and talking-----how much did demi moore or who ever the highest screen actress lately get paid for 3-6 months of filming? maybe 25-35 million some pop out a 3 or so a year-----realy people need to think more then swallow

The mighty Led Zeppelin, still rock's greatest band, is finally loosening that notoriously tight grip on their catalogue. The staggering catalogue that is still the standard against which all other rock music is judged. If the Beatles come around then we will have the two greatest bands in music history firmly in the digital age.
