Hauppauge, N.Y. - Audiovox, a supplier and value-added service provider to the consumer electronics industry, on Tuesday announced that it has agreed to acquire Thomson's U.S., Canada, China and Hong Kong consumer electronics audio video business.

The purchase price is $19.7 million, plus a net asset payment, plus a five-year fee related to the RCA brand in the consumer electronics audio video product field.

The acquisition will add about $150 million in annual sales for Audiovox, the company said.

In January 2007, Audiovox completed its acquisition of Thomson America's consumer electronics accessory business for $59 million.

That deal gave Audiovox the rights to the RCA brand for consumer electronics accessories.
