Apple Q4 Revenues Up 28% to $6.22B; 1.1M iPhones Sold

Cupertino, Calif. - Apple said on Monday that its fiscal fourth quarter revenues climbed 28% from a year ago, to $6.22 billion, bolstered by sales of 1.1 million iPhones during the period.

The company's earnings also rose by 67%, to $904 million.

Along with iPhone sales, Apple's bottom line was helped by sales of 10.2 million iPods during the quarter, an increase of 17% from the same period a year ago.

The company said it has now sold a total of 1.39 million iPhones since launch.

The device is set to go on sale in several European countries next month; Apple also reiterated its forecast of 10 million iPhone sales in 2008.
