Redmond, Wash. - Microsoft on Tuesday introduced a new family-friendly Xbox 360 bundle, while will retail for $279 and come with five family-friendly game titles.

The Xbox 360 Arcade console will include "Pac-Man Championship Edition" (Namco); "Uno" (Carbonated Games); "Luxor 2" (MumboJumbo); "Boom Boom Rocket" (Electronic Arts); and "Feeding Frenzy" (Sprout Games) -- titles previously only offered via download from the Xbox Live online service.

The console won't include a hard drive, instead bundling a memory card for saving games in progress.

"In addition to offering an incredible all-in-one package for families to get right into the fun, the Xbox 360 Arcade system features the industry-leading Family Settings, which allow parents to control what their kids are watching and playing -- and we know how important that control is to families around the world," said Jeff Bell, corporate vice president of global marketing for Microsoft's interactive entertainment business.

The company added that it plans to significantly expand its catalog of family-friendly Xbox 360 content, and promoted upcoming downloadable TV programs from Warner Bros. and Nickelodeon, as well as family-friendly games from THQ and Activision, that will be offered on Xbox Live.
