MySpace Taps Oberon Media to Develop Games Channel

Oberon Media logo Los Angeles - News Corp.'s MySpace online social network announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with Oberon Media, a cross-platform distributor of casual games, to create a new games channel on MySpace.

MySpace Games, set to launch in early 2008, will feature a range of free online casual games, including multiplayer titles, which users will be able to add to their profile pages.

Users will also be able to socialize via chat services within the games.

New York-based Oberon counts a catalog of over a thousand casual game titles, which are distributed through over 350 online partners and wireless carriers.
