San Francisco - End2End, a provider of mobile content distribution services, announced on Wednesday that it has acquired Terraplay, a provider of mobile gaming community services.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2000, Sweden-based Terraplay operates a service called the Global Gaming Network, which lets network operators and service providers create communities with mobile storefronts, content downloads, in-game payments and multiplayer functionality.

Denmark-based End2End provides mobile content distribution for Vodafone UK's Live! Games portal, as well as for Nokia, Microsoft, Motorola, Orange, 3, T-Mobile and O2.

"By combining Terraplay's expertise in connected gaming with End2End's experience in mobile content delivery, we believe we have created an incredibly valuable and unique proposition for operators," said Terraplay CEO Sven Hålling.
