San Francisco - Go2, a provider of mobile search and directory services, announced on Wednesday that it has agreed to merge with 80108 Media, a provider of original local mobile content.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 1999, Go2 operates over 300 mobile websites for U.S. universities, as well as portals for movies, dining and pets.

80108 Media offers a network of mobile correspondents, who create local content on a proprietary SMS delivery system.

The combined company will be known as Go2 Media.
