Wes Anderson Interviews Owen Wilson for MySpace SeriesAuthored by Scott Goldberg on October 25, 2007 - 7:06pm.
In his first interview since an attempted suicide, Owen Wilson sat down with friend, writer, and director Wes Anderson, with whom he has worked many times. The interview is part of MySpace’s Artist on Artist series, and will air tomorrow night at midnight. Among their projects are The Darjeeling Limited, the most recent film, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Royal Tenenbaums, which they co-wrote, and Bottle Rocket. Since the suicide attempt, Wilson has been quiet, only releasing the following statement: "I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time." At the Venice Film Festival in September, Anderson said Wilson was “doing well,” adding, “When he's ready he's going to speak for himself much better than anyone else could. He has a very good way with words." Click here to watch the interview. |
