Cardiff by the Sea, Calif. - Imagine Communications, the developer of a personalized TV platform for broadband operators, has raised $15 million in its second round of funding, led by Court Square Ventures, Israel's Globes Online reported.

Imagine, which maintains its headquarters near San Diego and research and development facilities in Netanya, Israel, says its service enables targeted TV ads, personalized audio and other features, while also improving bandwidth efficiency and video quality.

Previously known as QoD, the company has to date raised a total of $25 million.

Imagine was founded by two former employees at BigBand Networks, which filed a patent lawsuit against Imagine in June, alleging that Imagine is infringing its patents on video processing and bandwidth management techniques.
