San Diego - Online media-sharing service vMix Media has added $16.5 million to its second round of venture capital financing, from investors including ATA Ventures and JK&B Capital, PEHub.com reported.
Previous investors Mission Ventures and Enterprise Partners also participated in the follow-on, which brings the company's second round total to $22 million.
San Diego-based vMix offers a mix of user-generated and licensed content, including videos, audio tracks and photos, and also licenses its technology as a white-label service.
The company says that human editors review each uploaded file to screen for copyright infringement and other inappropriate content.
