Online Ad Network Specific Media Lands $100 Million

Irvine, Calif. - Specific Media, an online advertising network, announced that it has raised $100 million in its second round of venture capital financing, led by Francisco Partners.

Founded in 1999, Irvine, Calif.-based Specific media claims to be the No. 3 advertising network, according to comScore's September rankings.

The company reaches more than 130 million unique U.S. users, or 72% of the population; since debuting in the comScore rankings in February, Specific Media said its network has grown 44%.

The company will use the funds for acquisitions that build on its current platform.
