U.K. to Add Streaming, Download Data to Music ChartsAuthored by Mark Hefflinger on November 1, 2007 - 11:44am.
London - The Official U.K. Charts Company is set to begin adding streaming and download data from U.K. music subscription services later this year, Billboard reported. Data will be provided by services including Vodafone's MusicStation, MSN's Music Box and Napster UK. "The launch of this chart will provide valuable visibility to subscription-based models, about which there is great excitement within the business and which are expected to play an increasingly significant part in consumers' music consumption over the coming 12 months and more," said Martin Talbot, managing director of the Official U.K. Charts Company.
