Warner Bros. Acquires "LEGO Star Wars" Developer TT Games

Burbank, Calif. - Time Warner's (NYSE: TW) Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group announced on Thursday that it will acquire TT Games, which comprises independent game developer Traveller's Tales, and TT Games Publishing, which has released a series of LEGO Star Wars titles.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

While the company was founded in 2005 through the merger of Traveller's Tales and Giant Interactive Entertainment, U.K.-based Traveller's Tales was initially formed in 1990, and has sold over 42 million copies of its games to date.

The company holds license deals with LEGO, LucasArts and Guinness World Records.

Upcoming titles currently in development include "LEGO Batman: The Videogame," scheduled for release in 2008, and "LEGO Indiana Jones."
