Washington - XM Satellite Radio (NASD: XMSR) announced on Friday that it has been informed by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) that the agency is closing its inquiry into XM's marketing and customer service practices without taking any action.

The FTC launched this inquiry in April 2006, seeking to determine whether the company's marketing practices were in violation of the Truth in Lending Act and rules governing telemarketing.
