Toronto - John Malone's Liberty Media (NASD: LINTA) said on Friday that it will acquire Toronto-based FUN Technologies, a provider of online casual and fantasy sports games and sports information, in a deal valued at about $94 million.

Liberty, which also holds stakes in DirecTV, the Atlanta Braves, QVC and IAC, previously purchased a 53% stake in FUN Technologies in November 2005.

FUN has developed online games distributed by AOL, Disney, MSN, eBay and NASCAR.com.

If approved by FUN shareholders, the company will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Liberty.
