YouTube Launches Localized Site in Germany

Mountain View, Calif. - Google's (NASD: GOOG) YouTube has introduced a new localized site in Germany, where the video-sharing site already counts some 6.5 million users, Variety reported. The site will allow the usual user-generated video uploads, and initially feature content provided by entertainment interests including Sony BMG, Universal Music, 20th Century Fox, National Geographic, Euronews and German football clubs FC Bayern and VfB Stuttgart. YouTube also has localized sites in the U.K., Ireland, Spain, France, Japan, the Netherlands and Brazil.
