Needham, Mass. - KoolConnect Technologies, a provider of digital in-room entertainment services to hotels, announced on Tuesday that it has raised $6.5 million of incremental capital.

The investment was led by the Lewis Trust Group, New York City real estate developer Arthur Wiener, and Plough Penny Partners.

Massachusetts-based KoolConnect provides its services, which include HD video-on-demand and IPTV, in nearly 20,000 hotel rooms worldwide.

The company will use the new funds to expand its engineering and operational infrastructure, enhance its content library, and to support sales and marketing efforts.
