Microsoft Releases Second-Generation Zune Players

Redmond, Wash. - Microsoft (NASD: MSFT) on Tuesday introduced its second-generation Zune digital media players, including the 80GB, hard drive-based Zune 80 ($249), and two flash-based, 8GB ($199) and 4GB ($149) models. The new devices offer improved battery life; redesigned Zune software; a new "Zune Pad" touch-sensitive navigation button; and wireless syncing of music libraries.

The smaller versions are available in four colors (green, pink, black, red), with the option to add laser-engraved artwork from 18 artists.

Existing Zune owners can also now download a new software update for their devices from the company's website.

Zune looks nice and its new

Zune looks nice and its new functions are great but iPod still is the best. Nothing compares to the iPod interface and design, although Zune really seems like a good product. Have you seen this iPod Touch ad made by an user? http://www.weshow.com/us/p/21278/home_made_ipod_touch_ad It shows in less than 30 seconds why Zune is good but an iPod is an iPod. Period.
