New York - Harmonix, the music-based game studio unit of Viacom's (NYSE: VIA) MTV Networks, on Thursday announced the lineup of weekly song downloads it will offer through the end of the year for its forthcoming "Rock Band" game. Gamers will be able to purchase 3-song packs for $5.49 from artists including Metallica, the Police, David Bowie and Black Sabbath, or individual tracks for $1.99 each from a wider selection of artists. "Rock Band," which features drum, guitar and microphone peripherals, is slated for release on Nov. 20 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
