RCRD LBL Debuts With Ad-Supported, DRM-Free MP3s

San Francisco - RCRD LBL, a new online record label co-founded by Peter Rojas, founder of technology blogs Engadget and Gizmodo, and Downtown Records head Josh Deutsch -- this week announced its launch and the release of its first DRM-free, exclusive MP3s from artist and label partners.

Initial label partners include Downtown, Warp, Kompakt, Dim Mak, Modular, Dirtybird and Drowned in Sound; the company's first MP3s offered include tracks from Grizzly Bear, Spank Rock, Battles, Bloc Party, Justice and Cold War Kids.

Initial advertisers on the site include Puma, Nikon and Virgin Air, who are featured on some of the widgets that allow users to embed RCRD LBL content like playlists, photos and tour dates.
