New York - Yahoo (NASD: YHOO) has added 17 newspapers to its online newspaper consortium, including The Columbus Dispatch and 16 regional papers owned by The New York Times Co. (NYSE: NYT), the Associated Press reported. The service, which now counts over 500 partners, syndicates classified job ads between Yahoo's HotJobs and the newspapers' websites. Yahoo also becomes the sites' search provider, while headlines are shared between the papers and Yahoo News. Another feature, expected to launch next year, will use Yahoo technology to serve other ads on the sites.
