News Corp's Peter Levinsohn on MySpace vs FacebookAuthored by Jay Baage on November 27, 2007 - 8:20am.
News Corp's (NYSE: NWS) MySpace plans to launch "news feeds" within the next two months. That is just one of the features behind the growing popularity of its social networking rival Facebook that MySpace is trying to leverage. While MySpace still is the bigger one in terms of registered users, Facebook is the social network with the most relative growth and most buzz right now. The MySpace folks naturally wants to change that dynamic. Peter Levinsohn, President, Fox Interactive Media, tells Reuters in this video interview about some of the new features coming to MySpace. Perhaps the most interesting change will be the ability to add subcategories to your MySpace profile such as a professional and a personal page, a feature that is missing from Facebook right now. |
