Sony Says U.S. PlayStation 3 Sales Up 300%

Foster City, Calif. - Sony Computer Entertainment America has announced that sales of its PlayStation 3 are up 298% since Nov. 2, compared with October sales, which the company credited to availability of both the 40GB and 80GB models of the game console.

The company also said that Thanksgiving week PS3 sales were up 245% on last year's totals.

Additionally, for the week ended Nov. 24, Sony said U.S. PSP sales were up 136%, and PlayStation 2 sales were up 287%, compared with the previous week.
