Amsterdam - Spotzer Media Group, a provider of video advertising services, has raised $14.8 million in a new financing round led by Sierra Ventures.

European Directories, an operator of yellow pages services, also participated.

Amsterdam-based Spotzer offers online video ad creation services, and allows clients to purchase ad time across TV, the Web and out-of-home TV networks.

The company said it will primarily use the new capital to enter the U.S. market, having recently opened offices in New York and California, as well as to launch a pilot program with European Directories, which will offer its service to local businesses.
