New York - ECirkit, the developer of a social network for extreme lifestyle aficionados, on Monday announced its beta launch and $1.9 million in angel funding.
Founded by president and CEO Bradley Farrell, the site says it will cater to "skaters, gamers, exotic car fanatics, sport bike riders, tattoo artists and rockers."
The eCirkit site lets users create profiles and upload photos and videos, and also provides 250MB of storage that can be used to exchange large files.
The site also offers a built-in Web browser that can be used to surf the Internet while on eCirkit, and provides "no-page-reloading" technology.
