San Francisco - Music Intelligence Solutions, a developer of digital music and media discovery services, announced that it has raised $7 million in new funding from angel investors.

San Francisco-based Music Intelligence provides both consumer software for music and media discovery, and services for artists and marketers like Hit Song Science, which attempts to predict the commercial success of music by comparing attributes with a proprietary database.

Hit Song Science is currently deployed in Spain by Orange Wireless.

"We will leverage this new funding to support the global rollout of our unique and patented mobile music discovery solutions and the launch of our next generation web 2.0 personalization and community networking capabilities," said David Meredith, CEO of Music Intelligence Solutions.
