Silver Spring, Md. - Freewebs, a provider of Web development tools, said that it has changed its name to Webs.com, with its expansion into online social gaming.

The company said that it has launched its Social Gaming Network (SGN), which initially will develop games for Facebook.

SGN's games include "WarBook," currently the third largest game in terms of active users on Facebook, "Street Race," "Blocky" and its newly acquired title, "FightClub."

Shervin Pishevar, the president of Webs.com, said that SGN's titles will offer "a totally different gaming experience -- competing against friends or colleagues and comparing your rank in the broad social network."

Webs.com's other online properties include Freewebs.com, which provides free website creation tools, and social publishing site Pagii.com.
